The newly established company Archer sets out to build better wells to help their customers produce more oil and gas. An important step towards reaching this target is proper training of their personnel. The company operates on several rigs worldwide. Each of these rigs has approximately 30.000 parts that need maintenance. A productive rig needs to be operative under challenging conditions. Breakdowns may have major impacts on rig productivity. It is therefore important with proper maintenance procedures.
SAP Maintenance is ConocoPhillips Norway’s electronic system to register and monitor all maintenance work for Ekofisk. The aim of the e-learning course is to educate technicians and supervisors so they correctly use the SAP Plant Maintenance Module. The module involves complex tasks, and may indeed be challenging for new employees. MindIT Solutions AS is responsible for the planning, and the production of the e-learning course.
The course is developed during Quarter 2 of 2011.
